Boise, Idaho - Nate Causey ripped five RBI and fell a home run short of hitting for the cycle as the Hawks came from six runs down to beat the Spokane Indians by a score of 14-7.
The Hawks went right to work, picking up one run in the first inning on a Causey RBI single before the Indians responded with seven runs, taking a 7-1 lead into the bottom of the fifth inning.
It would be all Hawks after that as they scored 13 unanswered runs to finish out the game.
The Hawks added three runs in their half of the fifth inning, highlighted by a Causey triple that one-hopped the right field fence.
Causey was at it again in the sixth inning as he hit a bases clearing three-run double to tie the game at 7-7.
In a bizarre seventh inning that featured a rain delay that lasted no more than five minutes, the Hawks scored five runs on just one hit and were aided by four walks and three Indians errors.
The Hawks tacked on two more runs in the eighth inning on RBI hits from Brian Carroll and Steven Leonard as they took the win by a final of 14-7.
Salvador Justo pitched one inning and picked up his second win of the season for the Hawks.
Omarlin Lopez took the loss for the Indians, pitching one third of an inning and giving up five runs, two earned.
The Hawks (12-21) and the Indians (16-17) will play the rubber match of this five game series tomorrow night at Memorial Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m.
